Project for Keeps is a social media movement which aims to educate teenagers, aged 13-16, with active and public Facebook accounts, on the risk of befriending strangers online. Children nowadays are keen on using social media, and for many of them, having a lot of online friends might be an indication of “coolness” and popularity, however, not many children might see the potential risks involved. The movement aims to deliver the message of taking control of owns own online presence – making sure that that they have “Friends for keeps, not Creeps”.
